Martini Bar @ L’Opéra Garnier

Years that the back end of the Opéra Garnier was a sort of no-mans-land where only busses and parking tourist busses roamed freely. Now life has sprouted back, first with the installation of an Apple Store and now with the opening of the Opera’s restaurant.

A geometric shrine designed by Odile Decq – a spitting portrait of Robert Smith for us neophytes-, the Martini Bar is now open, adorned with the three colours of the vermouths and a cocktail menu that features them heavily, mixed by Raphael Garcia. On the inaugural night, James Bond wannabees and Bond girls galore could be seen milling around.

Des années que la face arrière de l’Opéra Garnier était une espèce de no-man’s-land où paissaient seulement les bus et quelques cars de Japonais en stationnement. Désormais, il y aura de l’animation et un coup de fouet avec la présence conjugée de l’Apple Store Opéra et du restaurant de l’Opéra.

Dans l’écrin géométrique imaginé par Odile Decq -qui ressemble à s’y méprendre à Robert Smith, avouons-le -, le Martini Bar a ouvert ses portes pendant la Fashion Week. Une palette tricolore comme les trois vermouth de la marque et une carte de cocktails concoctés par Raphael Garcia. Le soir de l’inauguration, belles plantes et wannabe-James-Bond étaient de sortie.
